Former Bibby Staff Open Couplings Company

Paul Selini and Tony Lamb, two former members of Bibby Transmissions, have opened a company called Coupling Services. The company can supply original Wellman Grid couplings and taper grid models, as well as a wide range of gear couplings for both replacement and new installations. AGMA standard models are available from stock.

Coupling Services sells pin and bush couplings, fluid couplings and an extensive range of metallic disc couplings, all compliant with API and Atex standards. Services include gearbox repairs, coupling refurbishments, balancing and spares, motor rewinds, inverter repairs and on-sight diagnostics.

Insert Couplings Provide Electrical Isolation

A series of silicone insert couplings from Sterling Instrument features electrical isolation and no backlash. These metric couplings, identified as the S54HSAM (clamp type) and S5PSAM (set screw type) Series, are stocked in five different bore sizes ranging from 6mm to 16mm. These couplings have aluminum hubs with either set screws or clamps for fastening to shafts.

The insert is silicone 40 ShA. Operating temperature ranges from -50C to +150C. They range in length from 26.5mm to 57mm and their maximum speed is 5,000rpm. The couplings can be used in various applications and are able to accommodate tight or skewed connections. Quotes, online orders, available stock and 3D CAD model downloads are available from the company's website.

2009 BK Catalogue Features Bellows Couplings

The 2009 BK series catalogue from R And W represents the latest collection of standard bellows coupling designs for applications requiring torque ratings from 15Nm to 10,000Nm. Flanges, shafts, hollow bores and almost any other mechanical interface are accommodated.
