Electronics Enclosures Catalogue Offered On CD

Rittal has released a CD containing its catalogue for electronics enclosures and associated products. The CD catalogue was released in response to customer demands for a more portable look-up system that complemented the information available on the company's website.

The CD contains details on products such as backplanes, power supplies, and base systems, including the Ripac-branded subrack ranges, both as kits and individual parts, as well as desktop cases and rack cases.

Schaeffler Catalog Details Large-Size Bearings

A 1,100-page technical compendium on large-size bearings is now available from Schaeffler (UK). Catalogue GL1 provides original equipment manufacturers, distributors and end users with an overview of the range of large-size bearings available from Schaeffler for heavy machinery and equipment.

The catalogue provides technical information on more than 10,000 bearings under the INA and FAG brands with outside diameters (ODs) of up to 2,800mm. It is designed to complement the company's existing HR1 rolling-bearings catalogue, which includes rolling bearings with ODs of up to 1,300mm. The new catalogue also contains bearing accessories, special rolling bearings, spherical plain bearings and bearing housings.

Schaeffler's INA- and FAG-branded large-size bearings are suitable for heavy industry applications, including steel, paper, mining and mineral processing, industrial power transmission, wind turbines, rail, production machinery and the energy sector. In most of these industries, large-size bearings are critical in ensuring the high reliability, energy efficiency and correct functioning of drive systems and other important machine components, according to the company.

Catalogue GL1 shows which products are suitable for specific bearing arrangements and which factors need to be considered during the design process, the tolerances required of the adjacent structures and how the bearing can be sealed effectively in light of the application conditions. The catalogue also provides detailed information on service life calculations, operating temperatures and loads, lubricant selection and suitability and how the products should be mounted, dismounted and maintained.

Roemheld DVD Catalogue Contains Components Library

The Roemheld interactive catalogue (RIC) DVD contains an extended library of components and a sliding pressure and force scale that is said to simplify operating calculations. The RIC DVD also includes a 'wish list' function that enables the end user to build up a list of products they are interested in and e-mail them to Roemheld for more information and a quote. The extended CAD component library includes more than 8,500 files, which is claimed to make it easy for engineers to specify the correct clamping elements for any project.

The CAD formats available within the component library contain 2D data in DXF (R12) format and 3D data in Step (AP 214), Parasolid and ACIS. As well as incorporating the latest datasheets, Roemheld's interactive catalogue DVD also includes a number of new products and a new module handling technique programme, which comes complete with CAD files.

QTC Catalog Features More Than 16,000 Components

Quality Transmission Components (QTC) has announced the availability of its free Q470 catalogue. This 352-page catalogue contains more than 16,000 off-the-shelf standardised components for use in MRO, RandD and production applications. The catalogue has six chapters and provides specifications of the complete product offering of timing pulleys, timing belts, bushings, belt clamping kits, roller chain sprockets, roller chains, diametral pitch gears, belt and chain tensioners, sonic tension testers and planetary gearheads.

Chapter one details the company's offering of metric and inch bored timing pulleys made from carbon steel, nylon and aluminum in AT5, AT10, T2.5, T5, T10, HTD3, HTD5, HTD8, MXL, XL and L profiles. Chapter two contains details of fibreglass-reinforced neoprene timing belts in AT5, AT10, T2.5, T5, T10, HTD3, HTD5, HTD8, MXL, XL and L profiles, as well as belt clamping kits for GT2, GT3, GT5 and GT8 profiles and sonic tension testers. Chapter three shows more than 100 styles of timing belt, v-belt and roller chain tensioners.

Chapter four details an offering of metric and inch bored roller chain sprockets made from carbon steel to the ISO 04B ISO 05B, ISO 06B, ISO 08B and ISO 10B standard and the AISI standards 25, 35, 40, 41 and 50. This chapter also details corresponding roller chains and connecting links. Latest Semrock Catalogue Features Four New Ranges


Semrock has published a 76-page, full-colour 2009-2010 master catalogue of optical filters and related products. It contains technical and product notes along with four new product ranges and many new filter products optimised for fluorescence, Raman spectroscopy and other laser analytical instrumentation applications. The new product ranges include the Image Splitting Dichroic Beamsplitters, which offer superb image quality for transmitted and reflected light due to a high degree of flatness.

They feature wide transmission and reflection bands (from 350 to 950nm for every filter). New Brightline multi-laser fluorescence filter sets are designed for advanced microscopy systems (including TIRF and confocal microscopes) and are available for the most popular laser combinations including 488/561nm (ideal for live-cell imaging with GFP/mCherry, for example) and 405/488/561/635nm wavelengths. This edition also features the debut of a range of filters for controlling the polarisation of light.

Catalog Features Timing Pulleys And Belts

A range of Generation III Synchroflex timing pulleys and belts has been introduced in the precision gears section of the 1,040-page Ondrives mechanical drive components catalogue. The timing belts are manufactured from a steel-reinforced polyurethane material and feature a very high power metric pitch AT profile with trapezoidal toothform.

The composite PU carcass (in red) and bifilar 's' and 'z' twist spirally wound tension members and the tension member loadings Ftadm = 787N. Sizes vary from 5mm pitch and a 10mm belt width up to 10mm pitch, 50mm belt width as standard with intermediate and larger belt widths available on request. The pulleys to match are made from aluminium with a zinc-plated flange, and are centre-drilled or pilot-bored, which is toleranced.

The CDS Catalog will front-end the CDS CAD Modelserver CAD download solution and both will be integrated into the Controlair website.

SDP/SI Releases D795 Inch/Metric Catalog

Stock Drive Products / Sterling Instrument (SDP/SI) has published the 360-page 'Inch/Metric Supplement Catalog, D795', containing over 7,000 components. It will make it easier to locate components for prototype and/or production applications. This catalogue updates the SDP/SI 1,184-page Master Inch Catalog, D790, and the 1,240-page Master Metric Catalog, D785.

All three catalogues can also be found online, where there is eStore access to order parts, request quotes, download 3D drawings and check inventory at any time. Minitec has launched its Workplace Systems catalogue, illustrating a range of components and assemblies.The range is aimed at workstations, assembly lines, transfer stations and conveyor systems for manual and automated production lines, research laboratories, assembly areas, test equipment and inspection stations.

The Minitec Workplace Systems catalogue, which is spread across about 112 pages, guides the reader through ergonomic workplace layout with 14 detailed sections covering basic workstations, height adjustable tables, lighting and power supply, pneumatics, mounting devices and ESD accessories.

All of the components covered in the catalogue - which is available as a PDF download or as a hardcopy version - are also featured within Minitec's online ICAD interactive design module: an autonomous interactive program that allows selection of individual components with downloadable 2D and 3D, computer-aided design (CAD) and image files for AutoCAD and other CAD software programs, along with complete lists of parts. Meltric Publishes 2009 Product Catalog

Meltric Corporation has announced the availability of its 2009 product catalogue featuring Decontactor Series switch rated plugs, receptacles and connectors. This 224-page catalogue also provides information about Meltric's other plug and receptacle product offerings including hazardous duty rated devices, PF high ampacity devices (up to 600A), and a wide variety of multi-pin devices (up to 37 contacts).

Decontactor Series switch rated plugs and receptacles allow technicians to change-out motors, welders and other electrical equipment. They are an NEC approved 'line of sight' disconnect and are UL approved for both 'branch circuit' and 'motor circuit' disconnect switching up to 200A or 60 HP. Decontactors are also UL rated to make and withstand short circuits up to 100kA. A Decontactors integral switching capability ensures that the contacts are always de-energised before the plug can be withdrawn from the receptacle.

Once the plug is removed, the receptacle's safety shutter further ensures worker safety by preventing unintentional access to live parts to all but the correct mating plug. Since Decontactors maintain an NFPA 70E defined hazard/risk category of zero during equipment connection and disconnection, users do not have to wear PPE nor follow other NFPA 70E specified safety procedures that are typically necessary for electrical safety during electrical equipment change-outs.
