Crydom Expands Range Of 3-Phase SSR Contactors

Crydom has added 36 new models to its 53 Series of panel-mounted AC-output 3Phase solid-state-relay (SSR) contactors. The expanded Crydom 53 Series now includes models featuring IP20 touch-safe covers with load current ratings of either 25A or 50A per channel at 530VAC. Designed for harsh environments and available with either AC or DC input control voltages, the new 3Phase models also feature IEC emissions compliance to CISPR 11 Class A and EMC immunity per IEC 61000-4-2 through -6, level three.

The 53 Series now also includes two new 3Phase solid-state motor-reversing relays rated at either 25A or 50A per channel. The reversing models include the same IP20 touch-safe design, Class A emissions and level-three noise immunity as the new three-phase SSR contactor models. Available with 3-32VDC input control, reversing models include a safety control interlock circuit, which prevents simultaneous forward and reversing commands.

All new Crydom 53 Series SSR contactors and motor-reversing SSRs are UL and cUL recognised, TUV approved and CE compliant to the Low Voltage Directive.

SymCom MotorSaver Model 202 3-Phase Voltage Monitors

SymCom MotorSaver Model 202 is an auto-ranging voltage monitor designed to protect three-phase motors regardless of size. It is used on 190-480 VAC, 50 to 60 Hz motors to prevent damage caused by single phasing, low voltage, high voltage, phase reversal, or voltage unbalance. A unique microcontroller-based voltage and phase sensing circuit constantly monitors the three phase voltages to detect harmful power line conditions.

When a harmful condition is detected, the MotorSaver's output relay is deactivated after a trip delay. The output relay reactivates after power line conditions return to an acceptable level for the selected amount of time (Restart Delay). The trip delay prevents nuisance tripping due to rapidly fluctuating power line conditions.

Note: To obtain UL listing for the MS202, use insulated 1/4" UL recognized female quick connects.

Features:
  • Compact design saves precious panel space.
  • 0.25" hole allows easy OEM mounting.
  • Diagnostic bicolor LED indicator light is green in normal conditions, red during trip conditions, blinking green while in restart delay mode and blinking red when reverse phased.
  • Universal range from 190-480 VAC 50/60 Hz provides the versatility needed to handle global applications.
  • Transient protected to meet IEC 1000-4-5,±4kv.
  • Detects single phase conditions regardless of regenerated voltages.
Protects 3-Phase motors from:
  • Loss of any phase (single phasing)
  • High and low voltage
  • Voltage unbalance
  • Phase reversal
Standard Features:
  • UL and cUL recognized
  • 5 year warranty
  • Made in USA
  • Manual, 2-300 sec. variable restart delay
  • Mounts on panel surface

Lenze Three-Phase Electric AC Motors

Lenze Group's robust three-phase asynchronous motor with integrated motec frequency inverter can be conveniently matched to the required machine or process parameters. The compact motor, which features a high degree of protection, can be networked via a fieldbus and the digital and analog I/Os used for open-loop or closed-loop control.

As a result, it offers a wider range of potential applications. Lenze takes care of the cabling for you by installing the inverter at the Lenze factory. The decentralised concept minimises the need for shielded cables and saves your money. Many applications of Lenze three-phase AC motors require extra terminals in addition to the power connections of the motor, e.g. for the separate fan, thermal contacts, brake, etc.

The universal terminal box of Lenze three-phase AC motors offers a very convenient solution without intricate lamp-wire connectors. The terminal box has been expanded to include a small mounting rail. Up to 18 terminals can be connected to this rail, and all applications are thus possible. In addition, it is possible to include the rectifier required by the brake. Lenze three-phase AC motors are robust and applicable to many industry sectors.

The compact design and universality make these motors suitable for most applications. Lenze three-phase AC motors are distinguished by their modular design, which includes a universal terminal box, the easy installation of incremental encoders and resolvers. It is also possible to attach BFK458 spring-operated brakes for various applications. This Lenze AC motor program is rounded off by matching frequency inverters and attachable gearboxes.

Lenze asynchronous motors of the series 13.710 are compact and space-saving. Available in a power range from 12 to 90 W, these Lenze Three-Phase AC Motors are naturally ventilated. Since they do not have a fan they have low noise emissions and can be applied in production areas with fluff or dust. The motors are available with solid shaft and keyway, with flange mounting and can be fitted with a brake.
