Z-Communications has announced an RoHS-compliant voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) model, ZRO2460B1LF in S-band. The ZRO2460B1LF operates at 2,435-2,485MHz with a tuning voltage range of 1-10V DC. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -113dBc/Hz at 10KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 8MHz/V. The ZRO2460B1LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 6dBm at 8V DC supply, while drawing 30mA (typical) over a -40 to 85C range.This VCO features typical second harmonic suppression of -15dBc and comes in Z-Comm's standard Mini-16-SM package, measuring 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.22in. It is available in tape-and-reel packaging for production requirements. The ZRO2460B1LF is also suitable for automated surface-mount assembly and reflow. It is suited for fixed-wireless and satellite communication applications that require ultra-low phase-noise performance.
