The section on graphite-based fugitive emission control features packings such as the low-friction Supagraf Premier and Supagraf Control, which are both certified in valves to TA Luft/VDI 2440 standards and qualify as Best Available Technique products in line with the EU IPPC Directive.Supagraf Premipak is a combination packing set for valves, based on two graphite materials that conform to Shell material specifications MESC SPE 85/203 and 85/204. This packing set is designed to reduce VOC emissions to better than 100ppm and has a working temperature range of -200 to 450C. Also new to the guide are Torrlid packings that hold a vacuum on the lids above crucibles of molten aluminium. These products readily withstand the temperatures and compressive forces involved, even after repeated opening and closing cycles.
