A waste contractor is using HRS corrugated tube in tube heat exchangers that produce biogas from organic food-waste sludge. HRS designed and manufactured two HRSDTI heat-exchanger modules mounted on a custom-built heavy-duty frame complete with interconnecting bends. These HRSDTI units have now been in service for 12 months.The HRS corrugation on the inner-tube enhances heat transfer and breaks the boundary layer at the tube wall, enhancing turbulence and minimising fouling; this makes the HRSDTI range perfect for difficult applications dealing with large particulates.
