Colortrac Demonstrates Wide-Format Scanners

Colortrac has announced that it will showcase its SmartLF wide-format scanners at the Graphics of the Americas trade show and exhibition in Miami, Florida, on 25-27 February 2010. The company will host live demonstrations of Colortrac's large-format SmartLF scanning solutions, including the SmartLF Ci 40 technical imaging scanners and the SmartLF Gx+42 graphics scanners. Also on display will be the SmartLF Gx+56, which is claimed to be the world's widest large format colour graphics scanner.

At the other end of the scale, Colortrac will demonstrate two A1 / D-size large-format scanners, the 28in wide, CCD-based SmartLF Gx+28 and the new 24in-wide, CIS-based SmartLF Ci 24. The SmartLF Ci 24 uses the same design as the SmartLF Ci 40. Both offer the benefit of a front-exit media path.

When used as a desktop scanner, the SmartLF Ci 24's small footprint and front-exiting media is said to offer a space-saving advantage over rear-exiting scanners. All SmartLF scanners will be demonstrated running Colortrac's SmartLF All-in-One Software (supplied with every SmartLF scanner) as well as the optional Scanworks (for scanning technical documents and maps) and Copysmart (professional colour capture and scan to copy software).
