Rautomead has delivered, installed and commissioned a model RS 3000/5 upward vertical copper rod casting machine at La Farga Lacambra, Barcelona. La Farga Lacambra is a copper processing company with origins in bell-founding and cannon manufacture.The company has also developed its own process for making fire-refined copper rod directly from scrap. The Rautomead casting machine is being used for production of copper and copper alloy rods. Successful casting trials carried out at Rautomead's Scotland-based technology centre were a key factor in securing this order.
