FDB Launches IP65 Quarter-Turn Spanner Lock

FDB Panel Fittings is offering an IP65 quarter-turn spanner lock that can only be opened by the use of special non-standard key. The lock is provided with a Fiat insert, making it ideal for situations where a conventional lock could be easily opened by unauthorised persons using readily available keys or simple tools. This includes manufacturing environments or controls of service equipment where only qualified service engineers are permitted access to electrical/electronic enclosures or service access panels.

FDB added that the Fiat spanner lock is ideal as a retrofit to enhance security on existing equipment by way of its industry standard 20mm rounded square cut-out installation. Other features include 90-degree cam rotation, LH and RH application, 90-degree stepped key removal, availability of multiple depth cams, as well as a three-point cam for rod activation, and black or chrome finish.

Two-Pole TA35 Circuit Breaker Is IP65 Protected

Rutronik is offering the two-pole TA35 series circuit breaker from Schurter, which is now available with factory mounted covers. The device has an IP65 protection cover, making it suitable for applications exposed to dust or splashing water. Application examples include laboratory equipment for chemical and medical applications, food processing equipment and commercial appliances, wood and masonry machines, construction site equipment, power generators and cleaning equipment.

The rocker-actuating switch functions as a switch only or with thermal overload protection. It can be supplied either with or without illumination. Various standard legends and customer specific symbols and colours are also offered. The series is designed to meet IEC 60934, UL 1077 and CSA C22.2 235 and carries VDE and Curus approvals.
