Vistagy has announced that SNSP has purchased FiberSIM composites-engineering software to design and manufacture composite hulls, hull spars and supports. SNSP has also purchased Vistagy professional services for training as well as on-site assistance in developing composites-design methodologies. The company will be using FiberSIM to design an 80m hull.It will use the software to develop layup information and to automate ply information to be sent to cutting and laser positioning machines. Howaldtswerke-Deutsch Werft (HDW), a company of the Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems, has also purchased FiberSIM software to design and manufacture parts for submarines made of advanced composite materials.
