Titan Enterprises' updated 800 Series turbine PVDF flowmeter can accept any type of hose connection. The electronic output gives NPN or PNP transistor output pulses to drive a remote counter or logger, with 0.1 per cent repeatability over a 30:1 flow range.With a temperature capability of up to 125C, the 800 Series is suitable for hot-water vending applications, for monitoring flow-discharge volumes at rates of up to 15L/min, or for flow-failure alarms.
Previous variants in the 800 Series have been applied to flow checking in bar-management systems and for vending applications on beer and lager. Future developments in this area from Titan will include non-obstructive flow sensors using ultrasonic techniques to measure the flow in small-diameter lines.
