Sames has developed the PPH 707-SB paint sprayer, which is intended for automakers and is equipped with a high-speed turbine (HST). This turbine enables paint to be applied at high flow rates (up to 1,000cc/min), thereby increasing productivity. The use of the HST also reduces the number of robots needed, as each robot is able to work faster. This technology can be combined with the 'bowl/bowl' process, resulting in perfect colour and very high paint transfer performance, according to the company. This is claimed to guarantee higher quality and competitiveness for Mercedes, Renault and GM.
As a result of its transfer efficiency (the ratio between the amount of product actually applied to the part and the total amount of product used), the PPH 707-SB sprayer also reduces the amount of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted by paints.
